I cant believe the advancements of bone marrow stem cell therapy..liver failure and heart disease seem like very strong cases..hundreds of people treated…but the public does know evern they these things are published in journals like lancet…see this review…Abdel-Latif et al. Adult bone marrow-derived cells for cardiac repair: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Arch Intern Med. 2007 May 28;167(10):989-97.
Great overview on adult bone marrow stem cells. We need more discussions about first what is a stem cell, second what stem cells can do in experimental systems and third what has been done clinically with stem cells.
Stem cells have been used in at least 1000 pateints in the US as part of clinical trials. Many of these trials have been successful but no one knows about them…keep up the good work cellmedicine !

2Good good explanations…adult stem cells seem to be the way of the future..embryonics cause cancers (teratomas) and are a waste of time
